Biomedics is an innovative Italian startup involved in the design, development and manufacturing of innovative medical devices powered by Artificial Intelligence. Omnidermal’s mission is to provide innovative tools to healthcare operators to assist them in the patient care, to improve the quality of life of patients, as well as reducing cost for healthcare institutions. Since its foundation in 2019, the company was able to design, develop, CE-mark and start the commercialization of its first product: the WoundViewer, a class IIa medical device for the objective and automatic measurement and monitoring of all clinical data of cutaneous ulcers. It is the first medical device powered by Artificial Intelligence to be approved and sold in the EU in the wound care sector. In 2019, the team won the prestigious Leonardo Startup Award, as best startup of the year by the Minister of Economics and the President of Italian Republic.
During the 2020, Omnidermal started its activity of expansion of its technology to other medical areas. At the end of 2020, the company partnered with Politecnico di Torino in order to develop a real telerehabilitation platform that would allow Omnidermal to enter the new medical device field of rehabilitation. Thanks to its experience in the CE-approval of medical devices, Omnidermal represents the ideal partner for the choice of the best approval pathway.
