PBL is an Italian Innovative PMI whose core business is the design and development of customized industrial lines for the pharmaceutical. Founded as a startup in 2018, in just 3 years of activity PBL was able to reach more than 20 M€ of revenues thanks to the introduction of innovative technologies within the lines it conceived. Being active in the automation field, PBL has developed and department that allows the company a fast and precise manufacturing of customized hardware components that the Technical Department usually design and conceive for their projects.
PBL aims at increasing its know-how in terms of material and design requirements for the market of implantable medical devices. However, its main goal is the chance to enter the medical device field as a supplier of hardware components.

​For this project, PBL combines the strength of its design office, made of experienced and qualified engineers, with the ability of its manufacturing department, equipped with numerically controlled lathes, cutters, 3D printers and 5-axis mills, both for plastic and metals. The combination of these two departments allows PBL to take part into the design and prototyping phases of the project.
PBL is directly involved in this project as a supplier of hardware components.
